Sun, Sea and Sand

There are many islands in Coron, Palawan. Most of them have white sands that are soft and fine which makes it so endearing to brush against your toes.It can have an ankle-deep water where you can get down and get dirty in the sand like in Bulog Island or shallow waters in Malcapuya or clear waters for snorkeling in Banana Island. This is what we were able to capture this time - getting down and dirty under the sun and the sand. Like little children at play, we had fun. Here are snapshots that made us realize that it's really nice to have fun, smile, laugh and live life the most.

Nature is always a beauty. It possesses wonders and colours that can be captured only by our senses. But time is fleeting, so you need to capture and take a memory of every treasured moment. Sometimes, we let time pass by without sensing how beautiful God's creations are. nature in its simplest has always been the most beautiful. The following are shots taken by different hands including me at different times capturing the sights of Coron, Palawan's natural beauty. At the end of the day, let us thank God for these majestic beauty. For He is the greatest painter of all!

Thanks to the boat Unica Yza with boatman Kuya Alvin and photographer/ boatman assistant Roy. They took care of us during the trip. They even cooked our food and assisted us during the boat ride. Thanks also to Lot for preparing food for us and giving us the kindest service. Thanks to Mt. Tapyas Hotel for the very warm accommodation and granting our requests. We'll definitely come back again sometime soon.

Conquering Moments

This is me - a writer but more than that a dreamer. There are moments when I look into the camera and flash a smile but there are moments when I have the flare for drama and desire to be alone. Oh yes, I love being me and I want to inspire others to love themselves too. I believe in the uniqueness of every person as there is beauty in life always.

Sometimes, there must be moments for soul-searching. it creates wonders to know one's self as opposed to knowing one's self as described by others. That's why we have mirrors to see ourselves clearly and eyes which reflects our souls. Whoever we are and where ever we may be, there's beauty yearning to be discovered and ready to touch other people's lives.

Looking Above: It was a Moonly-lit Night as I looked above and captured this picture. This seems surreal but powerful.

In Coron, Maquinit Hotspring's water is said to have therapeutic claims. The water is absolutely hot, obviously because it's a hotspring (lol)! We met a Finnish who have been there for a week and claims to have his wounds healed. However, as in food supplements, there are no approved therapeutic claims. The hotspring is a natural beauty and the warm water that it gives is also nature's gift. The road to Maquinit may be far and rash but the journey is all worthwhile. It's like a warm pool that massages the skin and eases the muscles. If you're in for a hot dip in Coron, never forget to visit this place.

Back in Coron (Busuanga)

When you thought once is enough. This saying does not apply to visiting places that struck you with the word "WOW". This is what me, Clau and Zyrelle realized when we fell in love with Coron (Busuanga), Palawan. We've been here before but the beauty never fails to elude us. So we again set on a journey to the place named Coron in the Northern part of Palawan and decided to bring more friends along. We had newlyweds Ants and Christine to join the fun and mother and daughter tandem Normelly and Tita Norma.

This is Ants first plane ride and he was quite hesitant. All the more was he nervous when the plane made a shaky landing. It was too fast, we arrived earlier than expected. However, we landed safely.

Oh, there is so much to tell. This is only the beginning of words and glimpses I wish to tell. My heart is bursting to share more of the beauty that Coron has to offer. With this, I think we'll still be coming back to this place we can call Paradise.

I love sunsets. Although sunsets symbolize the end of the day, the sun at different points cast colours and shadows to the skies and the scenery. As a result an enigmatic cascade of colours burst. This is what I was able to witness at Acapulco Beach, La Union.

During sunsets, I realize that there is a beauty that only God can create. Put in the people I was with, all the more my heart bursts with gratitude. Indeed, we should always be thankful for the blessings that come our way.

I’m sharing the pictures I’ve taken hoping that it will inspire more to see the beauty in life even in the simplest things. Each picture spells a story more than it appeals to the eyes.

If you are looking for a place for fine dining, then, you better be at this place... Riverfarm! It’s the place where sea foods are the main course for the meal.

Our sumptuous dinner that night included “Sinigang” with the right kind of “asim” that a Filipino dish of that sort has. Add the crabs and the shrimp as ingredients, what else can you ask for?

Sweet and sour dishes are my favourite and this time, I chose their fish fillet. I love fish fillet compared to the meat variant for they are healthier and easy to eat. As if I’m diet conscious now (lol)! But anyway, the fish fillet tasted like pure heaven!

We were completely satisfied with the dishes we ordered. They were truly and proudly Filipino!

The ambience was one of the best. Located almost under a bridge with a spectacular view of a few nipa huts and the lake, I couldn’t feel more blessed than anything or anyone else at this moment. The simplest pleasures in life can make me happy – including food (lol)!
