Ferdinand E. Marcos is a former president of the Philippines. To some, he is known as a dictator. To others, he may be corrupt. But to many, he is more than that. Perhaps, he must have been one of the most well-achieved individuals and one of the smartest presidents the Philippines had or could ever have. Whatever your point of view is regarding Marcos, it does or doesn't matter. His remains remain in his mausoleum in Ilocos Norte, frozen to keep his body from decomposing unless he is buried in the Libingan ng mga Bayani.
So on our part of the tour, we remember a great individual whose life and death was encompassed by secrets, mysteries and intrigues. If you go around the museum, you can see that he has achieved a lot in his life and in the mausoleum, you will be able to meet Marcos in his coffin. What a weird way to meet a president. Don't you think so?
